A Mass intention, or requesting to have a Mass “offered” for an intention, is an ancient tradition of the church. The priest celebrating the Mass, will offer the Mass for a particular intention. As a church, we can request specific intentions for several reasons, including In Thanksgiving for a particular grace, a prayer for the living or for the repose of the soul of a loved one. Pope St. John Paul II said, “In the celebration of the Eucharistic Sacrifice, the Church prays that God, the Father of mercies, will grant His children the fullness of the Holy Spirit so that they may become one body and one spirit in Christ.”
Our 2020 Mass Schedule Book is open. Please complete the online form and send a stipend of $10.00 for each Mass to the Divine Mercy Parish office and where the Mass will be celebrated. Please include a note, clearly stating the Mass intention and stipend amount. The stipend is NOT payment for the Mass, but a donation to the church. Masses will be assigned on a first come, first serve basis. We will work with you to do our best to fulfill your requests.
